1. Select corrupted RAR file to be recovered At first, the user should select a corrupted RAR archive for recovery. It is able to point to the corrupted file using standard Windows files selection dialog Additionally, the RAR file can be stated at the special "Source file name" field. This filed allows to select the previously recovered file name additionaly.
2. RAR damages analyze eRepair RAR performs this step automatically. The recovery tool scans the entry RAR archive structure and displays the data it is found. The archive scan operation can take a while, it depends on archive size, data corruption level and computer performance. This step can be terminated by pressing the "Cancel" button.
3. View and select files to be extracted The program displays files and folders structure which was detected during analyzing phase. The user should inspect the result and select files to be saved. It is recommended to press the "Check good" button to select only fully recoverable files. It is able to choose the partially recovered or all files also. Please notice that partially recovered files may not functioning properly. For sample: Repaired Access database will produce the error at opening.
4. Select destination folder to save the recovered data The user should select the folder to save the recovered data. The program will save repaired files and folders structure to this location. It is possible to point the directory using either the standard Windows dialog or the special history list.
5. Run the repair process, extract and save recovered data In the last step the eRepair RAR extracts data from the corrupted RAR archive and save files to the folder which was pointed in previous step. The processing report will be displayed at the end of operation.
6. Displaying the recovery log (summary) The program displays a summary report about recovery process and the end of operation.
